Join Sankofa Odyssey as we explore the Lesser Antilles archipelago. Guadeloupe is a double island of lush volcanic peaks and reef fringed beaches where French flair meets island warmth. Its where rainforest hikes meet sugar‑white lagoons, Creole markets sit beside boulangeries, and coral gardens hug dramatic black‑sand coves. With coral gardens, rum distilleries, and tiny islets , it’s not the same postcard you see everywhere else in the Caribbean. When flying to Guadeloupe you will use the airport code PTP.

Your week begins when you arrive at Bas du Fort marina the EVENING of June 26 or early on the morning of June 27, 2026 to board your vessel. Please plan to be on board and ready to sail by 9:30 AM on Sat July 27 so we can make the most of the first day.

Your adventure wraps up with a short morning hop back to Bas du Fort on Saturday July 4, 2026 so we can return the yachts relaxed and on time. You are responsible for your own airfare and ground transport to and from the marina. Trip insurance is required as BOOKINGS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.

Our captains are experts at organizing the crew and ensuring we have a truly enjoyable experience. YOU NEVER LOSE SITE OF LAND. Our boats are never over crowded. And no worries if you have never sailed or cannot swim, that’s ok too!

Day 1: Bas du Fort to Les Saintes (June 27)

• Sail to Les Saintes: Cast off from Bas du Fort early and enjoy a scenic hop to Terre de Haut in the Les Saintes archipelago.
• Activities: Wander the charming Bourg, sample local rum, and catch live music as the village comes alive at night.
• Overnight: Moor in the main bay and join the island party ashore.

Day 2: Les Saintes to Îlet a Cabrits (June 28)

• Sail to Îlet a Cabrits: A very short, sweet hop puts you in a sheltered turquoise bowl.
• Activities: Anchor, snorkel the Pain de Sucre reef, dinghy to the tiny beach, and relax with a sunset cocktail.
• Overnight: Anchor in calm water with a postcard perfect sandbar nearby.

Day 3: Îlet a Cabrits to Marie Galante (June 29)

• Sail to Marie Galante: Head southeast to this mellow island known for wide bays and rum culture.
• Activities: Explore sugarcane country by bike, visit a distillery for a tasting, and eat fresh seafood at a beach shack.
• Overnight: Anchor in Saint Louis or Anse Canot and enjoy a slow island evening.

Day 4: Marie Galante to Petite Terre nature reserve (June 30)

• Sail to Petite Terre: Cross to the protected islets for world class snorkeling.
• Activities: Moor on reserve buoys, snorkel over vibrant coral gardens, and watch turtles glide by.
• Overnight: Use moorings only and follow reserve rules for a quiet, nature first night.

Day 5: Petite Terre to La Desirade (July 1)

• Sail to La Desirade: A short hop brings you to a windswept island with big ocean views.
• Activities: Anchor in a secluded cove, hike the coastal ridge for panoramic vistas, and toast the sunset from your cockpit.
• Overnight: Anchor in a quiet bay and sleep under a sky full of stars.

Day 6: La Desirade to Port Louis Grande Terre (July 2)

• Sail to Port Louis: Return toward Grande Terre for provisioning and a taste of local life.
• Activities: Reprovision, rent bikes for a coastal loop, stroll the village, and sample local flavors.
• Overnight: Anchor or take a small marina berth and enjoy a relaxed evening ashore.

Day 7: Port Louis to Îlet a Caret

• Sail to Îlet a Caret: Move to a shallow sandbar lagoon for your final secluded night.
• Activities: Enjoy barefoot dinners on the sandbar, paddle in calm water, and catch an early sunrise.
• Overnight

Day 8: Return to Bas du Fort

• Make the short morning hop back to Bas du Fort so you can return the boat relaxed and on time.
