Hey You Scalawags, Robert and I would like you to know that the health and safety of our Sankofa Family is especially important to us during this current Pandemic of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). We want you to feel confident that we will keep the health and safety of all BVI 2020 travelers in the forefront of our thoughts while planning this epic event. Updating you from our previous communication, it is no surprise that “The Rona” has derailed our plans for the Sankofa Odyssey BVI 2020 voyage. We have been monitoring the News and the data in search of any light at the end of the tunnel. The BVI borders are still closed to foreigners and it is unclear what the BVI restrictions will be over the next couple of months. We have been in communication with the charter company as well. So we have decided to reschedule the Sankofa Odyssey BVI 2020 voyage to 2021. The new sail dates are July 10, 2021 through July 17, 2021. We are sorry for any inconvenience, but this crisis has not afforded us any control of the situation. However, that being said, we do have a great adventure to look forward to in 2021. We will be sending out updated information on this trip over the next few months. We may be adding additional yachts for next year's trip so let your friends and families know. We encourage you to listen to the health professionals who are asking all Americans to be vigilant about controlling what we can -- wash your hands, try not to touch your face, heed social distancing recommendations and avoid large social gatherings Regards, Sankofa Odyssey Skippers
